Eastlands Homes is a not-for-profit housing association with 8,000 properties in East and South East Manchester.

Set up in 2003 to take over and improve approximately 3,000 of East Manchester’s former council properties, Eastlands Homes has invested more than £45 million improving homes and the environment. In March 2009, another 5,250 council properties transferred to Eastlands Homes from neighbouring Ardwick, Gorton, Levenshulme, Longsight and Rusholme. A £110 million improvement programme got underway immediately. In April 2007 Eastlands Homes received a 2-star ‘excellent’ report from the Audit Commission.
