Ministry of Justice is looking to appoint a Divisional Director - Head of Leadership, Talent and Learning.

Job Description

 

The Ministry of Justice is a major government department at the heart of the justice system. We deliver some of the most fundamental public services including courts, tribunals, prisons, legal services, youth justice, probation services, and attendance centres. 

The organisation works together and with other government departments and agencies to bring the principles of justice to life for everyone in society. From our civil courts, tribunals and family law hearings, to criminal justice, prison and probation services. This is a new leadership, expert practitioner role, bringing together three small teams from different parts of the People Group to build capability, talent management and leadership across the organisation. 
You will be expected to develop and drive our capability strategy, lead the learning and development function and be accountable for major cross-cutting learning and talent programmes. 

You will work with other senior HR and business leaders to shape organisational capability-building to support current and future business priorities, championing the role of learning within organisational change. 

You will also support leadership development by designing and implementing a strategy to build and improve leadership across the organisation and acting as an expert facilitator and/or executive coach. 

The Head of Leadership, Talent and Learning will operate at a senior level engaging with MoJ Board members and their senior teams to build relationships, influence and thought lead decision making and co-produce outcomes aligned to strategic and operational business needs.
