HM Land Registry (HMLR) is looking to offer the position of Head of Business Planning within the Finance and Business Services Directorate.

Job Description

The role
This role will lead HMLR’s annual and medium-term business planning process, working closely with colleagues across the organisation to ensure a fully integrated approach to setting the strategy, business planning and budget-setting. You will have responsibility for the delivery of the corporate Annual Business Plan document and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) through HMLR governance, ready for ministerial approvals. You will engage with Directors to make sure that their directorate business plans are aligned to the HMLR Business Strategy and consistent with the corporate Annual Business Plan. You will have responsibility for ensuring HMLR’s approach to business planning is consistent with HM Government-wide best practice. You will also be responsible for developing and managing two Business Planning Analysts.

The person
You will have a deep understanding of business planning processes and procedures, along with experience of the development of performance indicators and leading annual plans for a business. Essential to this role is the ability to develop management information and to monitor performance against an annual plan. Ideally you will have an understanding of working in a complex operational and delivery organisation.

This role can be based at our Nottingham, Plymouth, Telford or Croydon Offices. Occasional travel to other offices may be required, particularly for those not based in Croydon, to attend meetings and present content.
