Job Description

The core areas of Advancement are fundraising, alumni relations and operational systems.


As a senior member of the Advancement team, the Head of Individual Philanthropy is responsible for leading a team of six people focussed on identifying, cultivating and soliciting individuals to secure six, seven and eight figure gifts for the School. The post holder will also hold a portfolio of principal and major gift prospects personally, and lead the team by example.


Candidates should have demonstrable senior experience in fundraising with a successful track record in achieving significant major gift income, and experience of working with and staffing senior institutional administrators /management as part of cultivation and solicitation of high value donor prospects. They should also have experience of working in a large complex organisation and be able to negotiate with multiple decision-makers and stakeholders.
