The Department of International Development is seeking a highly committed and motivated administrator to support the work of staff and students involved with its MSc programmes.

Job Description


The Department is involved in a range of diverse activities and is a highly stimulating and friendly place in which to work. The postholder will be working in a small and friendly administrative team taking particular responsibility for the administration of an MSc programme. Duties will also include acting as a focal point of contact for student and applicant enquiries; supporting the orientation processes and assisting in the coordination of the examinations process.


Candidates should have a degree from a recognised university, possess relevant work experience, excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to work under your own initiative as well as within a team, and sound IT skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills are necessary, as you will be dealing with academic staff and current and prospective students. Candidates should also possess high attention to detail and be able to organise and prioritise their own work.
