This is a term time only role, working 195 days per annum. The role is home/field based coveringWest London Boroughs, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Wiltshire.

Candidates should be located within reasonable travelling distance within these areas.

This is a home based role; a laptop and mobile phone is provided, however candidates should have a reliable home broadband connection.

The Account Manager (AM) role is to manage a defined group of customer accounts to deliver business growth. These accounts will include, multi academy trusts, schools and localised consortia of schools across the 11-18 age range and within a defined territory. Working with colleagues in the regional sales team, the AM will lead on sales plans delivering customer value, learner progression and business growth.

A day in the life of a Pearson Account Manager…..

  • Working with your colleagues in your regional sales team, leading on sales plans delivering customer value, learner progression and business growth
  • Planning your strategy for targeting trusts & schools - working with data provided and CRM to identify opportunities
  • Building your pipeline - generating new opportunities across your area to generate business growth
  • Meeting with key decision makers, discovering their strategies and addressing their needs through presenting Pearson propositions
  • Proactively identifying opportunities whilst out in territory
  • Smart working - delivering remote meetings where necessary using desktop sharing technology
  • Attending and presenting at events such as trust conferences or creating your own events to drive strategically important opportunities in your area
  • Continually updating your knowledge of curriculum and our products and services to ensure you present the best proposition for the customer

Qualifications

Role Criteria

  • Field based and willingness to travel (80% of the time)
  • Full UK driving licence

Essential

  • Significant experience in a B2B sales environment selling complex solutions at senior level
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Good understanding of the UK Education market
  • Strong understanding of the sales process and has a track record of having applied these principles
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Good organisation/time management skills
  • Good communication skills- Written/Oral
  • Strong people skills-ability to communicate and influence.
  • Aptitude for learning new technologies and skills. Comfortable with digital media

Desirable:

  • Experience of working with or within a MAT
  • Experience of preparing, presenting and delivering bespoke customer proposals
  • Team player and collaborative approach to work
