About the job

Job Purpose:

To oversee the application process across the business unit for a wide portfolio of online postgraduate programmes offered in partnership with UK universities. To effectively manage and maintain the varied processes for both internally hosted application portals and partner managed portals.

Main responsibilities:

For internally hosted application portals: Assessing the eligibility of prospective students, working closely with the Recruitment Managers to advise on student applications, and the verification of qualifying documentation. Overseeing the student application process on the hosted portal, ensuring the CRM correlates with the portal so Enrolment Advisors can accurately update students on their application. Acting on behalf of the university to formally communicate decisions on applications to prospective students, and ensure any offers are processed in line with the SLA between the partner and Pearson.

For externally hosted application portals: Working closely with the Recruitment Managers to pre-screen and advise on prospective student applications. Monitoring the portal daily for any updates on the status of applications, and communicating these updates to the recruitment team. Liaising with university stakeholders to ensure student offers are processed in line with the SLA between the university partner and Pearson.

Key Accountabilities

  • Managing a variety of customised application portals to monitor and process applications submitted by prospective students.
  • Assessing prospective students’ qualifications, CVs, references and personal statements against a pre-set entry criteria for course eligibility.
  • Delivering training to new starters on admissions processes and use of application portals.
  • Monitoring team email inboxes to ensure all student queries are directed to the relevant team member.
  • Crafting formal documents to prospective students, including offer letters, terms and conditions, funding options, and programme schedule.
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to work collaboratively on administrative processes and procedures, including the generation of student credentials.

Qualifications

Essential skills, qualifications and experience:

  • Excellent IT skills including using Office Suite
  • Good data management and analytics skills
  • Excellent communication (written and oral), networking and influencing externally and internally (in particular to work effectively with colleagues in Pearson across different sites and within a matrix structure)

Desired

  • Degree or equivalent professional qualifications
  • Experience using SalesForce or other CRM platforms
  • Knowledge of the UK HE sector
  • Experience working with NARIC
