Advocacy Kirklees is a new advocacy service in Kirklees, and brings together the Care Act, Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy, Relevant Persons Representative Service, Independent NHS Complaints Advocacy and General Advocacy into one single service delivered by Touchstone and Advonet.
The successful post holder will undertake a variety of advocacy responsibilities supporting individuals to have their voices heard and their rights upheld. You will have strong interpersonal skills and adopt the person centred approach.
You will be expected to be qualified as an advocate or be willing to undertake the training required to achieve this and also work independently and as part of a team to work with vulnerable people, promoting all forms of advocacy.
You will need to have successfully engaged, supported and worked with people with multiple and complex needs, also have knowledge of advocacy and have effective communication skills and experience of working with a diverse range of clients.
