Apprenticeship Manager - Newcastle - £35,310- £40,666, 27% pension

Support a new and exciting apprenticeship initiative within DWP's Digital Business Services Practice, helping school, college leavers and everyone else, and positioning DWP as a great place to work and learn.

in DWP your official job title will be Senior Digital Practice Support Manager, but your role will be all about working on our apprenticeship programme.

You'll be supporting a new and exciting apprenticeship initiative within DWPs Digital Business Services Practice.

Our Apprenticeship Strategy for Business Services is to promote and target school and college leavers and market DWP as a good alternative to university. The roles are open to anyone though, so more than anything you just need to love working with people and helping them build their skills and their careers.

You be right at the forefront of the scheme, supporting the Apprentices through their entire journey, from onboarding and induction, to helping them with their for their portfolio and their End Point Assessments.

What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?

  • Experience of using capability or performance assessments to identify strengths and weaknesses.
  • Ability to identify and prioritise capability improvement opportunities, generating buy-in.
  • Experience of providing coaching and support, in order to achieve capability objectives.
  • Experience of leadership, taking appropriate action where performance deviates from agreed tolerances.
  • Proactively builds working relationships ensuring relationship challenges are addressed.
