About the Team

Pearson Clinical Assessment develops and distributes standardised assessments for professionals in psychology, healthcare, business, general & special needs education. Our internationally recognised products and services assist skilled, compassionate professionals to improve lives. We are particularly noted for our gold-standard assessment contributions in cognitive/ability, memory, neuropsychology, behaviour, personality/psychopathology, achievement and speech/language.

Our world renowned portfolio includes the The Wechsler Family of gold standard assessments and many of the key products used by Psychology, Health and Education professionals working across a wide variety of settings.

Our range of innovative and trusted Speech and language assessments and solutions (such as CELF-5 UK) support children, young people and adults with speech, language and communication needs.

About the Role

At Pearson, we’re supporting professionals to continue supporting their clients or students during socially distanced face-to-face or Telepractice sessions using digital technology which is changing the way that Speech and Language Therapy is conducted. Through telepractice, specialists can deliver speech assessment and therapy sessions from anywhere across the UK.

We are seeking a qualified Speech and Language Therapist to join our UK Sales Team as an Assessment Consultant who will specialise in our Speech and Language Assessment Portfolio.

The Assessment Consultant is responsible for directly contributing to revenue growth through the acquisition of new customers/partners and the management of current accounts. The Assessment Consultant is an individual contributor who will use their experience as a qualified Speech and Language Therapist to develop relationships and understand customer assessment needs, then working with a team to create and execute solutions to help achieve the customer outcomes.

You will have a varied client base which will include NHS and private hospitals, private practices and mainstream and special schools and colleges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development – identify, qualify and convert new business opportunities. Effective selling of assessment products and services across diverse customer groups – Speech & Language Therapists, Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Educators, SENCOs and Senior NHS Managers.
  • Conduct virtual and in-person presentations to demonstrate the value of Pearson's products and services in meeting customer needs.
  • Key account management and customer focus – manage all customers within the territory to maximise sales and provide a positive customer experience. Contact with customers aiding scoring, reporting and test results interpretation, Facilitating and hosting monthly webinars and workshops supporting test use and interpretation of Pearson Speech and Language Assessments
  • Product knowledge – understand and demonstrate the benefits and features of our products/services. Maintain an awareness of the competition and understand customer requirements. Understand and anticipate territory opportunities, issues and trends – and use this knowledge to develop strategies and action plans that optimise sales of our Speech and Language Portfolio.
  • Customer insight – submit detailed and timely customer market feedback reports supported by up-to-date customer, product and market knowledge. Analyse customer needs and synthesise information to create and execute innovative solutions that result in opportunities with new customers and enhance relationships with existing customers. Attend RCSLT Conference and other relevant events to promote the Pearson Speech & Language portfolio
  • Work cross-functionally with R&D, Customer Success, Customer Service, and Marketing teams to best support colleague and partners in the effective promotion, training and re-selling of our Speech & Language Assessment products and solutions.

Location

  • This is a field-based position covering predominantly the South of England region. Travel within the region is required. You may be asked to support colleagues on opportunities where your specialist knowledge as a Speech and Language Therapist is required.
  • We provide you with a company car and all the equipment you need including, mobile phone, laptop and iPad.
  • We expect that on a typical week you will be conducting a mixture of virtual and in-person presentations to demonstrate the value of Pearson's products and services in meeting customer needs.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a flexible, creative and customer centered Speech and Language Therapist to join our Asessment Consultant team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a specialist assessment sales team delivering innovative and trusted assessments and solutions.

We will provide comprehensive training to get you up to speed with our assessment products and services so that you can confidently advise your clients and have meaningful conversations about how we can help them to meet their needs in

You must be able to be HCPC registered. Sales experience is desirable.
