Quod is a highly regarded, independent consultancy offering a range of planning and development related services. We have an opportunity for an Assistant consultant to join our Environmental Planning team in Soho, London or Leeds. Our established Environmental Planning team specialises in Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and other related services and has a rapidly growing portfolio of highly prestigious projects. Our workload involves large scale regeneration projects, infrastructure, housing and retail development and we pride ourselves on getting the best outcomes for our clients.  We see environmental planning from the client’s viewpoint and have a pragmatic, proportionate approach.

What are you going to do

Key role responsibilities

Supporting the team in the delivery of EIAs for a range of projects.

Preparation of Environmental Statements and related deliverables.
Business development research and assistance with tenders.
Environmental, sustainability and climate change research.
Liaison with project teams and external stakeholders.
Contribution to non-project initiatives and training.

What we ask

Bachelor’s degree or higher in relevant subject.
Membership of IEMA preferred.
Previous relevant industry experience in a similar role preferred.
Experience of working on EIA’s preferred.
Understanding of EIA, the UK planning system, climate change and sustainability.
Excellent verbal and written skills.
Positive, hard-working attitude.
Enjoys responsibility and integrating/collaborating with other teams.
Keen to contribute to continual team improvement initiatives.
