. The post holder will be expected to give lectures and conduct seminar teaching for courses on the MSc Economy, Risk and Society programme. They will also be expected to conduct and publish outstanding, quality research.
You will have a completed PhD, or be close to obtaining a PhD, in sociology or a relevant social science field by the post start date. You should have substantive expertise, research interests and the ability to teach in two or more of the following areas: economic sociology, the sociology of risk and risk governance, and the sociology of regulation.
You will also demonstrate a track record or trajectory of internationally excellent publications; A proven ability, as evidenced by existing publications, or potential to publish in top journals or with a leading academic press in sociology; and a clear, well developed and viable strategy for future outstanding research that has the potential to result in world-leading publications. Advanced training in qualitative and/or quantitative social science research methods is also required.
