We are looking for an emerging Security Risk Professional to join our community of experts in DWP Digital. We're driving a once-in-a-generation transformation of government services, using fresh ideas and leading-edge technologies to create innovative, scalable and user-centric digital solutions.

That's a lot of change so we're increasing our capacity to identify, assess and manage the risks associated with these our digital projects.

DWP Digital is maturing its already brilliant Security capability, and we have a great opportunity to join The Digital Security Risk team and take your Security Risk Management career to the next level.

This is an extra exciting time to join the team as you'll help us set up our new function, and develop our processes, covering a wide range of varied projects and activities. All great for your CV.

You'll work with, and learn from, skilled Security Risk Managers who are responsible for supporting business areas and technical services across DWP Digital. Together you'll be the first line of our Security Risk Service, and help ensure that projects and products are secure-by-design by implementing appropriate controls.

You need to be a great collaborator and communicator to detail with good attention to detail. An eye for data is helpful too as we collate collating meaningful MI, identifying and reporting the risk picture within Digital.

What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?

  • You can describe and explain the concepts and principles of risk assessment.
  • You know how to work with others to identify and take forward improvements, and you understand the associated risks, issues and impacts of implementing change.
  • You communicate well with different stakeholders and in different styles
  • You are able to help colleagues and stakeholders build a clear understanding of objectives, activities and time-frames and progress. And you consider the impacts of your own/team's activities on stakeholders and end users.
