The Business Analyst for Higher Education Services is primarily responsible for facilitating successful data engagement and reporting across external market data, internal sales reporting and lead on the analysis of business intelligence from a range of strategic partners. They work in collaboration with the HES Senior Leadership team to manage customised and scheduled reporting and will contribute to strategic decision making to support future growth and business transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

Market Data Reporting & Analysis

  • Lead on reporting and analysis drawing on a range of external market data to inform ‘go to market’ plan and support activities of the marketing, sales and product and service development teams.
  • Provide regular reports on key market data metrics and trends data for various teams within HE group to contribute to strategic planning process

Sales & Operations Reporting & Analysis

  • Collaborating with finance team to deliver regular reports and business analysis across a range of dashboards to inform strategic review and decision making
  • Collaborating with Sales Support Manager to produce key reports and analysis across various areas of sales reporting such as pipeline forecasts, target tracking and general Salesforce report analysis
  • Partner with internal enabling functions to drive efficiencies and decision making within business operations and supply chain network
  • Manage usage reporting across HE digital product suite, working with external partners internal teams to inform the allocation of resources of our courseware experience team and sales team
  • Support business development activities through the provision of data analysis and the modelling of services for new business opportunities, in close liaison with Finance Director

Performance Reporting & Analysis

  • Develop expertise across a range of 3rd party customer data systems to source, analyse and present data relevant to Pearson’s business performance and provide actionable strategic recommendations to business.
  • Track performance of key strategic initiatives as directed through data reporting tools such as Google Analytics

Additional Responsibilities

  • Contribute to HES Leadership Meetings to present key data findings on a monthly basis
  • Set up and support on Data Governance processes

Qualifications

Essential Skills/Experience

  • Data analysis – manipulation – and presentation
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • SQL
  • Project and defect management
  • IT solutioning
  • Business Governance
  • Experienced Database users (Oracle, OBIA Salesforce ), other database or business warehouse experience of benefit
  • Problem-solving mindset

Desirable Skills

  • Tableau or other front facing interface/data analysis tools
  • Must be comfortable with ambiguity and change

Location- Flexible. This role will be based in London and/or Harlow
