Position Summary

Cereal Partners Worldwide (CPW) is a leading global breakfast cereal company and the maker of Nestlé breakfast cereals, including global favourites such as NESQUIK®,FITNESS®, CHEERIOS® and CHOCAPIC®. We have a fantastic opportunity to join the Cereal Partners Sales team as a Business Manager for some of our key online accounts, based in Welwyn. You’ll be responsible for identifying specific business strategies for the customer to effectively deliver business objectives, managing day to day relationships in order to efficiently deliver the customer business plan.

This is a high profile and strategically important role, where you will have the opportunity to drive and accelerate our fantastic product portfolio for our online customers. 

A day in the life of a Business Manager

Responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver key business objectives and grow sales aligned with our strategy
  • Develop Joint Business Plans and Customer Investment Plans 
  • Construct and drive contracts which are aligned to customer and sector needs.
  • Drive penetration, market share and other business development initiatives.
  • Work with the Activation team to deliver added value to the customer execution and develop strong activation (including digital) and customer plan. 
  • Monitor and analyse sector and customer performance. Develop corrective/accelerating actions in order to achieve business objectives
  • Develop contingency plans to overcome any hurdles to sales funnel growth.
  • Management and responsibility for the customer P&L 
  • Management of all internal steps and processes vs. customer expectations to deliver the sale 
  • Build winning relationships through effective stakeholder management – both internal and external.
  • Management of customer budgets and all associated spend and investment.

What will make you successful

You will have already demonstrated successful performance within sales and will be passionate about building high value customer relationships, be able to demonstrate strong commercial acumen and have a strong and determined focus on delivering results.

You will be able to demonstrate your experience of complex negotiations which has resulted in securing large contracts and winning new business. Your ability to think strategically, be resilient in the face of challenging situations and be able to influence both internally and externally will be key.

A good knowledge and understanding of working with Online customers would be advantageous.

Other key attributes will include:

  • Successfully delivered on KPIs, especially top and bottom line business results
  • Experience of managing Customer investment plans, especially geared towards optimizing and driving growth. 
  • Established Customer Key Account management skills focused on collaboratively driving Joint Business plans aligned at a Top to top level between the Customer and Nestle Cereal Partners. 
  • The ability to analyse complex situations, lots of data, "join the dots", build insights based on analysis and develop plans to address the opportunity.
  • Understand the link between Supply, Category, Finance and Sales
  • The ability to motivate and collaborate with diverse people
  • Success at building relationships with all major influencers in buying decisions
