Category Strategy Executive
At Britvic, we’re on a journey to become the most dynamic, creative and trusted soft drinks company in the world. Britvic is one of Europe’s leading players in the FMCG market providing household favorites like Pepsi, Robinsons, Fruit Shoot, Purdeys and J2O plus a growing portfolio of premium brands including London Essence combining a strong heritage and innovation across our brands. With a strong position both in the UK and internationally, we’re looking to build on our success with an ambitious growth plan. As our organisation continues to grow, it’s critical that we find new ways to create value for our customers.
To realise our vision to be ‘the most dynamic, creative and trusted soft drinks company in the world’, it is essential we have an in-depth understanding of the soft drinks category, so that we can create sustainable strategies for growth, that disproportionately deliver for Britvic, but also grow soft drinks for our diverse range of customers.
The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for being the expert in drivers of performance across a number of brands within our portfolio. Using this knowledge of how the segment is performing today and with additional market, consumer and shopper insight, they will work alongside the Category Strategy Manager to identify clear and inspiring growth drivers to help unlock long term growth for our brands.
In addition to identifying drivers of long term, sustainable growth, they will work closely with the Category Strategy Manager to ensure our “strategy flows through to shelf”, by influencing transformational category focused point of purchase (POP) initiatives (specifically for range and space), so that our core brand plans and future NPD are designed to realise the identified growth opportunities within soft drinks. They will also play a key role in creating and maintaining compelling category selling stories that provide context to our brands’ role in driving growth for our retail customers.
The successful candidate will be great at stakeholder management, balancing priorities effectively and ensuring that the work delivered by this central function is socialised across a wide set of stakeholders in order to impact our future plans. They will also be able to talk confidently about the latest consumer and shopper trends, the missions and occasions within which soft drinks and owned segments are purchased and consumed, together with keeping up to date on the ever-changing competitor landscape.
If this sounds like you, then we’d love to hear from you. This exciting role could give you the opportunity to play an integral part in the future growth of one of the biggest categories within FMCG and be part of the delivery of some exciting innovation within the Britvic portfolio.
