The Europe Commissions Team is seeking a self starting and motivated Commissions Analyst with great attention to details, strong ability to identify issues and collaboratively create effective solutions

Job Description

The team sits within F&R’s “Go To Market” (GTM) Finance organisation. Its main internal customers are the Sales force and Business Decision Finance teams, with other stakeholders including Business Operations and HR. The team has fiduciary financial responsibilities to ensure compliance with the company’s commission plans and SOX controls, combined with a requirement to provide customer service and business support to its internal customers.

Project Summary and Position Overview:

  • Calculating Europe ‘Go To Market’ Commissions for specific area
  • Reconcile data from Commissions system versus Finance systems
  • Monthly reviews with Sales Managers of team credit allocations, discrepancies and adjustments
  • Identify enhancements to process and system limitations to improve the current Commission workflow
  • Responsible for validating Annual Commission plans with the Segment Finance file input provided
  • Load Annual Commission Plans and issue Annual Commission Letters to Sales Staff in a timely manner
  • Ensure we follow and adhere to SOX Compliance Rules
  • Provide interpretation and education of the policies found in the Global Commissions Plan
  • Responsible for the management of communication with all the relevant Stakeholders regarding Commissions
  • Create and provide ad hoc reporting to Sales Management and Segment Finance

Essential Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate employee changes to Commission targets (i.e. Joiner/Leavers) with HR, Finance, Business Ops, and Sales Staff
  • Ensure annual targets and payments are accurately reported in the Commissions system on a quarterly basis
  • Review and approve Adjustment/Protection requests from Sales Staff in system
  • Consolidate Protection Requests and the relevant supporting documentation and present to Sales Management and Segment Finance for Monthly review
  • Perform Quarterly commission calculations and present to Sales Management & Finance for Review and Sign off using TC
  • Reconcile Statements with approved scorecards, and field questions from Sales Staff regarding their concerns
  • Coordinate Communication to relevant Stakeholders (Sales, Finance, HR, Bus Ops) regarding Policy Changes
  • Facilitate Sales Staff with interpretation of policies and help with the application regarding specific scenarios
  • Responsible for the publication, coordination and adherence of the Monthly Commissions Operating timetable

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Finance/Accounting, preferably in Commissions/Sales Incentive
  • Effective Written and Verbal Communication Skills
  • Strong Knowledge of MS Excel -ability to manipulate pivot tables and formulas
  • Strong Analytical skills and attention to detail
  • High Customer Focus and satisfactions awareness and ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to perform under established policies and perform with a sense of urgency in order to meet aggressive deadlines
  • Good organisational skills and ability to understand customer workflow and priorities
  • Ability to problem solve and trouble shoot
  • Ability to capture process knowledge at a granular level but also able to deviate from a rigid process when a work around is required

Desired skills:

  • Working Knowledge of internal Systems (Siebel/Trust/Tesseract)
