About the PRI

The PRI is the world’s leading proponent of responsible investment. It works to understand the investment implications of environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors and to support its international network of investor signatories in incorporating these factors into their investment and ownership decisions. Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic professional with a keen attention to detail to provide support to a fast-paced communications team. The successful candidate will have a flexible approach to tasks, be proactive, and possess excellent written and verbal communications skills. Reporting to the Acting Head of Press, this role will provide support across all areas of the digital communications function, including newsletters, social media, podcasts, as well as the press function, including written communications and forward planning.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy, fast-paced and friendly team focused on external communications. The Associate role plays a key part in supporting the dissemination of PRI’s world,leading content and insights to our audiences both on social media and in the press. We work collaboratively on a wide variety of projects ranging from investor initiatives on human rights and climate change to communications at COP26.

Part of the wider communications team, our sub team consists of the Acting Head of Press and Communications Specialist who works on press and media relations, and the Communications Associate who is focused on digital communications including social media and podcasts.

Core Responsibilities:

Provide regular reporting to the Acting Head of Press and Director of Digital Communications as required

Assist the Acting Head of Press and Communications Specialist with written communications, including op-eds, comments and press releases 

Assist the Communications Associate with posting content across our social media channels

Assist with the communications calendar, including all newsletters and mailouts 

Assist with producing podcasts

Track and report on digital communications stats

Provide support to other functions of the communications team where necessary

Technical Competencies & Experience:

Experience working in a busy communications team. Experience with email marketing, and working on platforms such as Marketing Cloud and Salesforce, would be a benefit. 

Educated to at least Bachelor’s level in a topic such as English, journalism, marketing or communications or other relevant subject. Knowledge of responsible investment would be advantageous but not essential

Excellent written communication and verbal presentation skills

A collaborative and consultative approach to working with others and committed to fostering an inclusive environment

Excellent interpersonal skills

IT/system skills - Microsoft Office

Language skills, other than English, are desirable
