Description

The Communications Executive is responsible for creating and executing engaging content in the UK and internationally, across multiple University partnerships. The core responsibility is to plan and execute integrated multichannel content marketing to support lead generation activity for our online programmes. This is a Business to Customer (B2C) marketing role that requires an individual who has proven experience in stakeholder management and the planning and execution of multichannel, results driven content marketing campaigns.

The Communications Executive works in a matrix structure across a number of internal functions including Research, Recruitment, Student Services and University partnerships. Reporting to the Communications Manager, this position supports the development and execution of all elements of the partner specific content plan, including research, copy writing and asset production.

We are a fast paced and dynamic team, often exploring new angles to stay at the forefront of Higher Education marketing. We might ask candidates to try things new to them, so we don’t expect them to have all the answers. We are looking for people who are willing to learn and keen to challenge themselves.

Please note this role can be London or Harlow based.

Qualifications

As a business unit, we are a start-up within a larger company. We are looking for someone who brings new ideas to the table and sees this role as an opportunity to help define our future.

  • An undergraduate degree in marketing, or other professional marketing qualification
  • 3 years of experience in content marketing, including experience in copywriting for the web, blogs, brochures, emails and support with video production,Higher education and student recruitment marketing experience desirable, but not essential
  • Good working knowledge of a variety of content marketing channels and platforms, including social media, email marketing, CRM and CMS systems
  • Proficient in MS Office, with a special emphasis on Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Outstanding project/time management and communication (verbal and written) skills
  • Ability to engage in productive innovation development, bringing new solutions to challenges
  • Ability to engage in strategic/account planning and develop and apply in-depth product knowledge
  • Eagerness to learn, willingness to develop, desire to support team, department and organizational development
  • Strong team player with excellent and proven interpersonal skills
  • Ability to anticipate and provide prompt resolution on issues
  • Ability to operate in fast-paced environment and manage a number of campaigns simultaneously
  • Focused on quality and delivery of results
  • High attention to detail and administration
  • Strong relationship building skills, ability to develop strong cross-functional working relationships
  • High level of professional business acumen
