Communications Lead - Yorkshire
Living With And Beyond Cancer Programme
Fixed Term (12 Months - Maternity Cover)

It's challenging but immensely rewarding work that will bring you into contact with some inspirational people and help us raise the profile of our work - which means that you can make a real difference to the lives of people affected by cancer.

You will work closely with our partner organisations to plan and deliver activities which promote the Living With And Beyond Cancer Programme in Mid and South Yorkshire, North Derbyshire, Bassetlaw and Wakefield. Committed to maximising our profile through PR, marketing and events activity, you will secure extensive and appropriate coverage by working closely with the media and through other external communications channels.  

Whether gained as a journalist, in-house or with an agency, the demands of the role require a good track record in communications work. You will have experience of working with the media, including a good knowledge of the media in the patch, a clear understanding of what makes a good story, excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills, and a good grounding in PR techniques.

There will be regular travel across Yorkshire, North Derbyshire and Bassetlaw with some early starts and late finishes so flexibility is required.
