Over the last five years there has been significant number of developments within the mental healthcare market. Keeping abreast of the regulatory and competitive landscape will be vital to ensuring St Andrew’s remains the UK’s leading charity providing specialist NHS care. The identification of social trends, and forecasting of market segments, will enable us to continue with our strategic direction – ‘to transform lives by building world-class mental healthcare services.’

Over the last 10 years we have invested £200 million in our people and our environments in order to provide the highest-quality care settings. Identifying the opportunities and threats which face the charity, the post-holder will continue to help shape the charity’s strategic direction, evaluating existing service provision and recognising areas of growth.

The post-holder will have an enquiring mind and the ability to find solutions to complex challenges which require extensive desk-based research and data analysis. Outstanding excel skills will be essential in order to assess multiple data sets and draw out the meaning for St Andrew’s.

Maintaining directories of services and information databases will be the backbone to developing proposals and internal summaries of key developments. Leading on the design, capture and analysis of primary research, including Net Promoter, will help supplement any secondary research and help us to recognise our current market position.
