You will help us build sustainable, long-term mutually beneficial relationships with corporate partners so they reach their full potential, and you will be offered professional development opportunities along the way.

You will be a self motivated, tenacious and driven fundraiser, with a gift for quickly building strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and someone who can hit the ground running. We are looking for a Corporate Partnership Manager with a proven track record in developing and retaining partnerships, increasing income and value to our organisation through strong negotiation and relationship building.

Whether your experience in managing relationships has been in corporate fundraising, regional fundraising or the commercial sector, your success will have been built on the strength of your social, influencing, negotiation, strategy and planning skills. You will have overcome challenges to make positive step changes in corporate partnerships, and have identified and delivered ways to significantly increase their value.

You will have an understanding of the ways charities work with their corporate partners from traditional charity of the year relationships and employee fundraising to long-term integrated and/or commercial partnerships. You will be able to leverage Macmillan’s strong brand and strategic synergies that will ensure our partnerships are strengthened, maximised, grown and retained. You will have the presence and credibility to influence and negotiate with senior stakeholders such as board directors in some of the UK’s largest companies.

As a confident public speaker and presenter you are highly effective in engaging with any audience size or make-up. Results-focused and politely persistent, your attention to detail, enthusiasm, team working and self-motivation will be evident in everything you do - from managing budgets to seeking innovative solutions to client needs.

We are at a pivotal time at Macmillan where we are raising our ambitions to increase our corporate and groups income year on year. The Corporate Partnership Manager role is key to this success. You will lead partnerships that raise over and above £50k a year and that have the potential to raise significantly more. You will also share your expertise and experience to support and coach colleagues across our Relationship Fundraising Directorate across the country, to increase corporate income.

You will cover a large geographical patch where extensive travel will be required, managing partners and relationships that are both new to Macmillan and who have worked with us for a number of years.
