Location: Northampton
Salary: £27,540 - £31,040 pro rata
Hours:   22.5 per week (part time) - 37.5 per week (full-time)

Maternity Cover for up to 8 months


As the first point of contact for enquiries to St Andrew's for patient referrals, you will build and maintain excellent customer relationships both internally and externally.

Your role with us
 
You will provide a seamless professional service during the referral process by providing continuous communication and correspondence to external customers including Commissioners and Case Managers from NHS England, Wales and other CCGs / Trusts, as well as internal clinicians, nurse managers and IPU Leads on the progress of the referral.
 
You will ensure the patient administration system is updated on a daily basis with all referral activity to include clear reasons for any referrals that were not suitable, to assist in future business planning. Responsible for the weekly Bed Management Meetings for the IPU's within the cluster. Management and forward planning of patient movements, enhancing occupancy levels in line with budget targets.
 
Your profile
The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of the Clinical Service, Admissions and Commissioning processes in order to manage all aspects of the administration process for the patient's journey from enquiry to referral, admission and discharge. You will be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the individual IPU's and charity.

•           Previous experience of using RiO would be an advantage
•           Proven track-record of working under pressure and meeting deadlines
