Job description  
In this role you will be responsible for logging, tracking and responding to customer enquiries and requests for information. These enquiries can include data requests, questions about our work, customer complaints and Environmental Information Regulation/Freedom of Information requests.

Day to day you will be managing correspondence from members of the public and external organisations, you will work closely with colleagues in our team and other parts of the business to ensure we meet our customer service commitments. You will work with the team to continuously improve how we do things and to identify better ways of working to enhance the service we deliver.

The team  
Our Customers and Engagement team is a busy team that works with others to deliver excellent customer service to the East Anglia area. We manage a diverse range of requests from active and informed customers. Our customers range from MPs to the general public and consultants.

The team plays an important role in managing relationships that are essential to our reputation and business delivery; and in providing support and guidance to our area teams.

Experience/skills required  

You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be highly organised and flexible. You are able to self manage and prioritise workloads and have experience of working with a range of internal and external customers.

You will have good administrative skills with experience of managing customer enquiries and data requests.

You will have excellent interpersonal skills and be familiar with our customer service commitment.

You will be confident at engaging with customers and staff over the phone or in person and be able to adapt your behaviour to different situations and people.

It would be helpful, but not essential, if you had:

A basic knowledge of the Freedom of Information Act and Environmental Information Regulations would be an advantage but is not essential, as would an awareness of other data handling regulations such as the Data Protection Act.
