Salary from £52,348 to £60,614 pa with potential to progress to £67,167 pa inclusive of London Allowance
The Department of Management provides a world class environment for multidisciplinary research on management issues as well as a deep insight into the functioning of the global business environment. Our objective is to be the premier management department in Europe and one of the top departments in the world in both teaching and research.
We are the largest department in the School, with over 70 faculty, 50 Professional Services staff (PSS), and associated guest lecturers and teachers. The Department of Management seeks to appoint a senior, experienced and highly motivated individual to lead and manage the Department’s cross functional Professional Services team.
You will work closely with the Head of Department and other senior academics and support the strategic development of the Department’s education, research, organisational governance and income-generation activities. You will have strategic and financial responsibility for the smooth running of the department and the deployment of its physical, financial and human resources. You will also act as a key interface between the Department and a wide range of academic and administrative staff across the School.
You must have previous relevant experience, including experience of delegating effectively within multi-functional teams, experience of managing large and complex budgets, and substantial management experience within a higher education environment. Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills are essential. Previous experience of working with academic staff is essential.
