As part of ‘building a better kind of bank’, IT has gone through a period of change, developing a new strategy, improving processes and procedures and enhancing technical capabilities. We are now seeking to attract a new Deployment Planner to strengthen our team. You will help ensure that Business, IT system and infrastructure changes are planned, assured and successfully implemented, with adherence to governance. You will also contribute to our automated deployment capabilities through provision of SME deployment knowledge to feed into release pipelines. You can make a real difference to the organisation within this role, as you will be given opportunities to support the Release Manager in delivering larger scale change.
We’re looking for someone who is uber organised, with the ability to plan and coordinate a range of deployment activities as instructed by the Release Manager. You’ll need to have experience in creating automated release deployments, or have had some exposure to them and be aware of the benefits in using release automation. Analytical in nature, you will be reporting on progress, issues, risks and impacts, so you must have a keen eye for detail and be able to present evidence in a succinct way. To be great, you’ll need to demonstrate exceptional relationship management skills, as you will be delivering information across a wide range of stakeholders and influencing these stakeholders when making technical decisions. It’s essential you’re a proactive person as you’ll need to monitor costs, timescales and resources used, and take action where these deviate from certain boundaries. It is important that you remain vigilant throughout and identify any problems or risks which may arise, allowing us to maintain and exceed given targets.
We need someone who can be flexible, as you will sometimes be required to work outside of standard hours.
