This DDTS EU Exit Programme is currently looking for a Deputy Director, Digital Delivery, a Project Delivery Professional role, in order to enhance the management and delivery within this high- profile, time-critical programme.

Job Description

The Deputy Director, Digital Delivery will manage a number of Digital Programme Leads who lead a cluster of projects and programmes for the digital delivery programme in EU Exit. This includes;

•   Responsible for the key project/programme deliverables, dependencies and opportunities and take action to accelerate and assure delivery progress.

•   Be a key focal point for the organisation on the strategic position and status of the delivery projects.

•   Drive delivery of the digital development projects to ensure delivery within demanding timescales and manage requirement uncertainty through the application of agile delivery methods.

•   Responsible for effective financial control to deliver projects within budget including financial approval decisions within delegated authority.

•   Provide a clear, strategic and accepted position of the status, interdependencies, risks and opportunities within the programme.

•   Lead people engagement for the programme in order to build a collaborative and engaged digital working environment for development projects.

The role will also lead, ensure and assure the development and continuous improvement to projects and programmes. This includes;

•   Responsibility for the implementation of an efficient decision making process based on objective tracking of desired outcomes, cost, risk, inter-dependencies and impact across the Portfolio, unblocking issues and planning dependencies to enable individual projects to make faster progress. ?Tracking project/programme delivery progress, offering constructive advice, sharing design and delivery patterns and being an escalation point for projects where delivery progress needs to accelerate or requires support. ?Overseeing the development of appropriate planning products such as capability roadmaps and staged release plans for capability to build stakeholder confidence.

•   Implementing corrective actions by engaging and influencing senior management and stakeholders to remove delivery choke points.

•   Responsible for ensuring projects and programmes are delivered within funding envelope ensuring a clear resource /demand profile is in place.

•   Ensuring programme dependencies and risks are identified, unblocked and managed.
