Job Description

The National Crime Agency sits at the heart of law enforcement response to protect the public against serious and organised crime. We are looking for exceptional leaders to fill a number of vacancies across our Senior Leadership Team. We have vacancies at Deputy Director level including Capability Engineering, National Economic Crime Centre (NECC), HR Chief Operating Officer, and Investigations, Intelligence and Threat Leadership. We have a variety of roles and would encourage you to carefully select and apply for the role which you believe you would be best suited for. This advertisement is for Deputy Director HR Chief Operating Officer. The HR COO is an essential partner to the HR Chief People Officer. The HR COO ensures that the HR Function is responsible for delivering:

  • Effective Expert Services centred on resourcing, employee experience and growth.
  • High quality Shared Services - High quality / value, metric and customer driven partnerships with key outsourced suppliers.
  • Seamless, client focussed delivery of people centred products, services, policies and processes.
  • Acting as a role model to lead, inspire, innovate, empower and develop officers within your business area and across the Agency.

To be successful, we expect you to demonstrate evidence of being a deliver-focused leader with solid HR generalist experience gained through leadership in large scale and complex organisations. You must demonstrate a strong delivery focus with data-driven decision making, able to translate HR work into measurable and effectively run programmes to deliver impact and value to the business. You will also need experience of leading and managing outsourced services and influencing positive end-client focussed partnerships. Essentially you must be a Member or higher of Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD).
