This is a great opportunity to set the direction for secure communications across Cabinet Office. The successful candidate will need to have extensive experience of central Government secure ICT services as well as working with multi-skilled multi-talented teams across a range of disciplines. In addition to this you will need to be highly organised, have concise communication skills and be able to prioritise multiple issues.
Specifically, and in support of this role, the deliverables include:
- Managing the successful implementation of a pan Government IT service across Cabinet Office. This includes setting the implementation strategy, heading the project team, commissioning and agreeing the business case and undertaking a full departmental wide needs assessment as well as designing the business as usual service support strategy.
- Developing the fixed line telephony service strategy across Cabinet Office and other external participants to continue to produce savings and deliver service excellence.
- Design and implementation of a stakeholder strategy for working with teams across Cabinet Office to ensure that their ICT services are fit for purpose and have resilience and modernisation built in by default.
- Direct line management of around 6 members of staff and indirect responsibility for a team of 30.
