Job Description

Clinical Nurse Lead
Autistic Spectrum Disorder – ASD IPU Northampton
Full Time
Salary £31,250 - £38,900

A top 20 UK charity, St Andrew’s is a unique provider of specialist care in mental health, learning disability, autistic spectrum disorders and neurological conditions. We aspire to deliver truly world class, holistic services within our outstanding, modern facilities. Our independence means we can always put service users’ interests at the heart of decision making, while re-investing surpluses in frontline services.

We are recruiting for our well established world class Forensic Autism Psychiatric Service to meet the clinical needs of adults with autism who enact serious violent crime.

The heart of our service is our multidisciplinary team of dedicated specialist clinicians that integrates knowledge and skills for autism, psychiatry and forensics to provide outstanding care and treatment for our patients.

Our research interests mirror this and we actively encourage our team members to pursue research interests at the intersection of autism and forensic psychiatry to improve our clinical outcomes. Your research interests may build upon on our current national and international collaborations.

We are looking for a confident, passionate individual who wants to make a difference to the lives of the
individuals we support who have histories of offending and other risk behaviours.

As a Clinical Lead, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and evaluating patient care by coordinating, delegating and supervising the care provided at the clinical level. You will be central to leading a team of clinicians to deliver person centred clinical care in secure care settings. This IPU is forward-thinking, open to new ideas and has a holistic to patient centred approach care and treatment.

If you would like to be part of working with an innovative and dynamic team and add to our supportive work environment, then this is the place for you!  This will be a personally and professionally rewarding role.
