Digital Development Specialist

Description

The Digital Development Analyst is a critical role that sits at the intersection of the Pearson K-12 business, technology, developers, research and UX. This position is responsible for coordinating digital development projects by connecting ideation, discovery, requirements building, research, UX/Design and and iterative mindset into our digital product development process. This includes responsibility for prioritizing needs and requirements for the successful development of digital products. The Digital Analyst will be expected to effectively communicate and socialize Agile strategies with project teams, stakeholders, and developers. As well, the role will include working to embed efficacy into products as measured by the guidelines established by the Pearson Efficacy group and work within the product life cycle model for product development.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop product vision, market test and validate requirements
  • Play a crucial role in design and development – determining the product technology and fit with core internal platforms and customer needs
  • Ensure realization of quality, consistency, and design of digital product throughout the product development lifecycle
  • Ensure efficacy standards are followed for digital solutions
  • Ensure collaboration with Publishers and Editors and marketing to ensure validation throughout technology development
  • Ensure seamless integration of third party applications, manages backlog and contributes to specifications for development roadmaps
  • Provide strong UX, Design and development process leadership
  • Work collaboratively with the Digital Studio group

Qualifications

  • Completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma, or related experience
  • 3 years experience in education technology and/or customer focused technology solution delivery
  • Ability to effectively work with a cross-functional team
  • Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to thrive in an evolving environment
  • Agile Development experience
  • Excellent understanding of modern development languages, methods and technologies
  • Proven skills in requirement building and analysis, prototyping, UX and design skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and communication skills
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines
