The Role

We're seeking a B2B marketing and communications specialist to join the team in Pearson’s rapidly growing University Partnerships division.

This role requires someone with exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, and a keen eye for interpreting information into meaningful insights. The ideal candidate will have experience across sales and marketing as this role supports both the Business Development and Marketing teams.

Working closely with the Head of Business Development, you will be responsible for the creation of B2B assets for all major pitches, such as proposals, presentations and tender documents.

You will build and develop the University Partnerships brand, value proposition and marketing assets in collaboration with our brand agency, so experience with brand and agency management would be highly favourable.

Reporting to the Digital Marketing Strategist, this role involves collaboration with many senior stakeholders and therefore requires someone with stakeholder management expertise and a proven ability to obtain beneficial business outcomes.

Key accountabilities include;

  • Provide strategic marketing support to the business development function in the communication of University Partnerships strategic value proposition
  • Draw insights from both external and internal data and research to create impactful, relevant and high quality content and materials to drive market opportunities
  • Developing and managing the University Partnerships brand positioning, value proposition, materials (internal and external), website presence and various marketing assets

Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Marketing or Communications
  • A minimum 4 years marketing experience in agency or client role
  • Experience working on and winning major new business pitches
  • Experience in analysing consumer behaviour and drawing key marketing insights
  • Experience in developing brand propositions and managing development of creative assets
  • Advanced Powerpoint skills required
  • Experience with Photoshop and design software highly desirable
