Delivery. Work. Projects.

You will be joining the Digital Workspaces team, delivering core Digital Project Management and Project support to Product and Service teams.

Digital Workspace provides the platforms and services for 130,000 DWP colleagues to access the tools and applications needed to actively support over 20 million citizens.

We work across a number of self-contained Product Areas including Computing, Desktop, Mobile, Identity, Security, and Accessibility. You'll work with us to co-ordinate these activities and ensure that plans, risks, and dependencies come together.

Digital Workspaces delivers and operates a mix of leading edge and legacy technologies, which makes working in DWP Digital. It complex and challenging but we have significant in-house expertise and vibrant multi-disciplinary teams who are empowered to own their products end to end. It's that mix that makes working with us particularly fulfilling.

You will:

  • Be the hub for communications across products, supporting a wide range of stakeholders and ensuring common understanding.
  • Manage projects end-to-end,
  • Bring together and co-ordinate plans, risks, issues and dependencies
  • Manage integration and co-ordination with delivery teams and find ways to improve Product processes and governance.
  • Encourage collaboration and shared ownership throughout the team,
  • Build and manage relationships with stakeholders, other internal teams, and suppliers.
  • Track and manage project progress and budget, and report as required.

What skills and experience do you need?

  • Experience in dealing with complex accessibility requirements, in co-ordinating HR, Property & Technology, of communications and engagement management, and of roadmap development.
  • Broad Technical appreciation of Accessibility, Desktop and End User Compute domains.
  • The ability to use a variety of appropriate techniques and tools, applying these appropriately to the nature and goals of a project.
  • The use of appropriate communications and methodologies to set out and articulate the short, medium, and long terms tasks and dependencies, as well as co-ordinate skills and resources required to achieve project goals.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to respect the needs and opinions of others.
