We work together and with other government departments and agencies to bring the principles of justice to life for everyone in society.
As a Department, we are determined to be evidence led and data driven in everything that we do. In this post, you will have a key role to play in helping deliver on that vision. That will mean getting involved in everything from supporting operational colleagues in the prisons and probation service to improve outcome for offenders; to evaluating the impact of our court reform programme or legal aid reforms; to supporting commercial and finance colleagues with business cases for procurements worth billions of pounds to helping HR colleagues to understand the data we collect on recruitment and retention of our people.
You will lead a team of 300 outstanding analysts from a wide range of backgrounds including talented economists, statisticians, operational and social researchers, as well as our innovative new data science team and will be responsible for engaging, nurturing and developing their capabilities as well as attracting the best and brightest analytical talent into the Department.
You will be exceptional leader as well as someone who is passionate about using data creatively to build evidence that will influence key decision makers across Whitehall and beyond.
The Ministry of Justice is a great place to be an analyst. We grapple with some of the biggest and most interesting policy and operational challenges in government and as Director, Data and Analysis you would be right at the heart of our mission to deliver a world class justice system that works for everyone.
If you are excited by this challenging role and believe you have the experience and skills we are looking for, we would be delighted to receive an application from you.
