Sport and physical activity play a significant role in life at Marjon.  This role will take the lead on developing a strategy for sport & physical activity that aligns to our institutional strategy and our academic provision.  To achieve this the role holder will need to collaborate internally and externally with key sport and physical activity leads to ensure a joined-up approach to continually improving and reviewing sport and physical activity services in terms of growth, innovation, quality and value for money.  We are proud of our civic role and our sports facilities are identified as the venue for community sport in the north of Plymouth.  The role holder will ensure Marjon continues to meet the needs of Plymouth, Devon and Cornwall community, identify ways of increasing utilisation of our facilities aligned to our strategy including increasing income, and exploring opportunities to continually improve our services and facilities.
