Description

Summary

The Director, Portfolio Management (DPM) is responsible for building the portfolio of non-degree partner programs (such as micro-credentials, professional certificates, pathway and bridge programs) offered in domestic and international markets. This includes the planning, implementation and evaluation of programs for specific target markets; development of programs so that they can be delivered using blended models to deliver student outcomes; building capacity in markets for scale.

General Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with University partners to identify and sign a portfolio of non-degree programs and courses
  • Liaise with regional and international teams to understand market dynamics and demand to direct the development of the portfolio
  • Develop relations with key institutional partners and establish a pipeline for the portfolio
  • Establish a process so that new programs can be efficiently developed and delivered for new markets
  • Responsibility for the business development and financial performance of the product portfolio
  • Create close working relationships with colleagues in international markets so that the portfolio can be appropriate for their market requirements
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations to partners

Qualifications

General Qualifications

  • 4-year degree from an accredited institution in Education, Business, Marketing or equivalent discipline OR appropriate combination of experience and education
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience launching new business and programs
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage timeline and budgets
  • Experience of business and product development
  • Ability to communicate complex issues clearly and concisely to stakeholders across a variety of different cultures and countries
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong relationship-builder and team player with partners and clients
  • Ability to perform domestic and international travel as needed
  • Preferred qualifications:
  • Master’s degree
  • Experience in the education sector
  • Experience of executive/professional education or pathway & transnational program
