>edTPA (Teacher Performance Assessment) is a pre-service assessment process designed by educators to answer the essential question: " Is a new teacher ready for the job? "
edTPA includes a review of a teacher candidate's authentic teaching materials as the culmination of a teaching and learning process that documents and demonstrates each candidate's ability to effectively teach his/her subject matter to all students.
In order to score the edTPA, you must meet the criteria outlined in the Scorer Experience Qualifications section below. Please note: working with teacher candidates or beginning teachers within the last five years is a core requirement to be a scorer. PK-12 educators and College/University educators who have worked with a teacher candidate or beginning teacher are encouraged to apply.

Scorer Experience Qualifications:
PK-12 and Higher Education Educators must have content specific expertise in the content area you are applying to score in one (1) or more of the following ways:
Current or Retired Higher Education Faculty, Field Supervisors, Teacher Preparation Program Administrators and other Higher Education Educatorsat a state-endorsed Teacher Preparation Programs mustwork with teacher candidates or teachers within the last 5 years in one (1) or more of the following ways:
Current or Retired PK-12 Classroom Teacher, Induction or Peer Assistance Mentor/Coach, National Board Certified Teacher (NBCT), School Principal or Other PK-12 Administrator(e.g. Assistant Principal, Dean of Students, etc.) must meet either A or B:
A)Hold a current teaching license from a State Education Agency in the edTPA field you are applying to score
Have worked in a PK-12 classroom setting, within the past five (5) years either:
B)Hold a current National Board certification in the edTPAfield you are applying to score
Have worked with (e.g., taught, mentored, supervised) teacher candidates or beginning teachers within the past five (5) years in the edTPAcontent area you are applying to score.
