Job Description

 

The Summer School, Executive and International (SSEI) Programmes Unit is a highly successful and commercially driven team that delivers LSE’s open enrolment short courses and distance learning degree programmes:

  • The LSE Summer School, recognised a global leader and one of the top two Summer School programmes in the world 
  • The University of London Programmes, with c.17,000 students across nearly 40 countries studying LSE designed degrees around the globe 
  • An ambitious programme of campus based and online open enrolment executive courses, the primary channel for delivering LSE’s world class research to a business audience

 

The programmes represent valuable revenue sources for the School, generating critical funds to invest in teaching and research activity. All our programmes operate in increasingly competitive markets.

 

We have a  great opportunity for an experienced  Events Officer to join a fast-paced and motivated team. The LSE Summer School is one of the top two Summer School programmes in the world, and our events programme reflects this.  

 

We are looking for a self-starter with excellent organisation and communication skills to assist with the management of the Summer School events programme. You will work on a variety of interesting events including career and professional development workshops, evening receptions, student socials, guest speaker lectures and end of session parties.

 

This is a seasonal and immediate start post between May and August (inclusive). The events programme is a key element of Summer School and vital in establishing LSE’s Summer School as a global leader.
