The Expenditure team sits within Financial Operations, and is responsible for processing and managing the organisation’s spend, which last year was around £180m and is made up of payments to suppliers, grant recipients, and staff and volunteer expenses.
This role would be an ideal opportunity for somebody with administrative experience in Finance or Services looking to develop their career at Macmillan further. A number of changes are currently being rolled out, which makes this an exciting time to join the team. We are in the middle of rolling out our Purchase to Pay system to the wider organisation, and transforming the way in which we pay our grants.
You will be somebody who is comfortable supporting colleagues at all levels of the business to ensure that our spend is processed accurately and efficiently. Our Expenditure Officers have a key role to play in supporting change projects whilst maintaining business as usual, and we’re looking for somebody who can explain complex systems to non-finance colleagues. You will support colleagues to use the system and to ensure that invoices are approved promptly. Previous experience using Unit 4 Business World (Agresso) is desirable.
You will specialise in one of our key business areas – FMC Services/Organizational Support - and will act as a main point of contact for colleagues in that area.
Please see the job description for a full description of the role, or contact Tunde Howell-Jones (Purchase To Pay Manager) for more information or if you’d like an informal discussion about the role.
In return for your skills and commitment? We commit to actively developing you and our benefits include a 34.5 hour week (with an early finish on Friday), private medical insurance, life assurance, pension, childcare vouchers and generous annual leave.
Please submit your application as soon as possible as we reserve the right to change the closing date of our vacancies.
We aim to encourage a culture where people can be themselves and be valued for their strengths so we seek to attract and employ the best people from the widest talent pool, reflecting the diverse nature of our society.
We will support you throughout the recruitment process with any reasonable adjustments required in accordance with the Equality Act. Please contact the Recruitment Team if you require support.
