Following several years of significant growth, Macmillan is running a transformational change programme, which aims to transform the way we work so we can continue to grow and provide even more support for people affected by cancer, in a more efficient and effective way. The programme is now at the stage of developing technology to support new processes and ways of working, and is initiating a 'Grants Transformation' programme to develop and implement strategic customer and grant management systems (CRM Online and Agresso Finance).
The Cancer Services Operations (CSO) directorate delivers a large part of Macmillan’s strategy for delivering impact to people affected by cancer by developing, funding (through grants) and improving services delivered by partners. It also delivers Direct Grants to over 30,000 people affected by cancer each year to help them meets the essential costs associated with living with cancer.
We are seeking a Project Manager to join our team and manage the Direct Grants elements of the programme. Dynamic and motivated, with a proven track record of managing projects, you will have outstanding end-to-end project management skills, and the excellent communication skills to work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners at various levels. The post-holder may also be required to work flexibly across CSO financial support projects.
You will have experience of delivering business or organisational change, and have experience of managing projects through matrix team management. Your success will be founded on a thorough understanding of the financial support needs of those living with long-term health conditions, and your ability to set-up, manage and deliver complex and high-profile projects.
