The Financial Systems Analyst will form a key part of the Reporting Centre of Expertise. This will involve working with a wide range of stakeholders to assist in delivering best in class reporting throughout Pearson.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Assist in maintaining management reporting systems, including data mapping, loading and reconciliation.
  • Assist the Group Reporting team (based in London) to deliver management and statutory reporting.
  • Handle finance master data changes in line with governance.
  • Become a trusted adviser to business users in all aspects of the chart of accounts.
  • Regularly review processes and procedures, and suggest and implement improvements where applicable.
  • BI dashboard/report building experience.
  • Other ad-hoc duties as required.

Qualifications

Essential Skills /Experience:

  • Previous experience in a finance role.
  • Experience of accountancy ERP and/or reporting packages. Oracle experience would be an advantage.
  • Highly literate with technology and data, and a strong interest to combine your finance skills with technology.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (if statements, vlookups, pivot tables etc). Likely to be tested at interview.
  • Strong data analytics skills.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Demonstrable track record of problem-solving.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Experience of Oracle Smart View excel add-on would be an advantage.
  • Part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)..
  • Previous BI Reporting experience.
