An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Fraud Risk Consultant to support the delivery of core Fraud, Payments and Settlement Risk activities and share fraud prevention knowledge and expertise. In this high profile role, you’ll develop relationships with Risk colleagues, line managers and the Risk Leadership Team in order to share your knowledge of developments in all aspects of fraud risk management and prevention practises. You’ll provide input to strategic risk assessments and change initiatives across the business and propose changes to Virgin Money policies, frameworks, processes and controls arising from the gathering of fraud intelligence and threat analysis.
As an SME, you’ll carry out best practice risk management activities to ensure accurate and consistent risk oversight and provide recommendations on improvements and enhancements to the fraud control environment that will allow us to be even safer. You’ll provide analysis of risk indicators and adverse risk trends to line managers and provide, accurate, consistent and timely MI and reporting to support managers and senior leaders.
To be brilliant, you’ll be an experienced fraud expert with knowledge of fraud prevention best practices across a multitude of retail banking products. Ideally degree educated in a relevant discipline, you’ll have technical experience within financial services with retail banking experience desirable. You’ll be highly proficient with MS Office and have experience of working in a team across geographical boundaries.

Location: Edinburgh or Gosforth
Salary: £32,000 - £40,000 per annum, plus amazing benefits.
Contract: This is a 12 month fixed term contract
