The GED test has opened doors to better jobs and college programs for more than 20 million graduates since 1942. The GED test is accepted by virtually all U.S. colleges and employers. As the creator of the one official GED test, GED Testing Service has a responsibility to ensure that the program continues to be a reliable and valuable pathway to a better life for the millions of adults without a high school diploma. The GED Works Product Manager is responsible for the successful implementation, maintenance, and growth of the GED Works program. The GEDWorks program is an education benefits program for employers to sponsor their employees' educational (GED) attainment. This role serves as the principal communication channel between our corporate partners, GED TestingService and service providers to ensure client satisfaction and product effectiveness. This position is responsible for overallprogram strategy, including defining market needs and program positioning. The Product Manager will maintainservice level agreements relative to timelines, quality standards and budget. The position will identify and implementproduct and program improvements to ensure long term growth and success.

The Product Manager works directly with our corporate partners to maintain customer satisfaction, contractual commitments, product effectiveness, and growth for the GED Works portfolio.

Client Retention

  • Maintain partner relationships with corporate and franchise customers, to support their employee-facing educational benefit goals. Includes supporting a variety of customers, reporting, and driving affinity to the GED brand.
  • Help drive marketing and PR initiatives to promote greater adoption of the program.

Product Management

  • Drive product development and innovation. Comfortable with experimentation.
  • Implement plans to drive greater adoption of the employer program with national and regional employers
  • Develop Overall business plan and program positioning in the market.
  • Manage program P & L
  • Develop overall business plan and program positioning in the market
  • Own product roadmap.
  • Obtain information on client requirements, client feedback, and market trends to establish priorities for developing new and updated offerings

Operations Management

  • Identify and implement program efficiencies - determine what's working and where to improve
  • Supervise GEDWorks Advisors and lead them to grow the effectiveness and impact of the product
  • Develop training and implementation plans that help the program scale. Implement continuous improvement practices to support scaling and efficiency. Track and report on call and student volume and KPIs
  • Work with cross-functional teams to define and implement standard operating practices and consistency through technology, marketing, and operational standardization



Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
  • 5-8 years managing products and customer relationships
  • 2-5 years experience managing cross functional projects
  • Excellent customer-facing skills
  • Proven experience in product development, account management, people management, strategic planning, and change management
  • Related industry experience preferred
