The Subject Advisor has accountability for both external and internal customer service delivery for a designated subject(s) or sector(s). A key priority for this post is to support teachers adopting our new employabilty qualifications and services. The skills portfolio also includes workskills, functional skills and Foundation learning.
The subject advisor should:
The role of the Subject Advisor for Geographyrequires a good understanding of the Education system and the role of the teacher/tutor/assessor within secondary schools, FE and training centres. Ideally you will be qualified to degree level in one of the three subjects, or a related field. You will have experience of delivering vocational and/or academic qualifications in these subjects and an understanding of delivering BTEC qualifications is desirable. In addition, the role requires a working knowledge of the subject area, as well as an understanding that changes within the sector such as to the curriculum and legislation mean that centres require frequent updates. It is expected that you will have knowledge/experience of at least two of the subject areas and we will consider applicants who can offer appropriate expertise in an additional subject area. An understand of Travel and Tourism qualifications would also be also be desirable.#LI-KT1
