Job Description

Grants Advocates Coordinator
Permanent
£23,000 - £25,000

The Grants Advocates Team is a recently established, rapidly expanding volunteer delivered service which lets beneficiaries of Macmillan Grants know about grants available from other organisations and helps them with applications.

We are looking for a Grants Advocates Coordinator to assist the Grants Advocates Manager with coordinating volunteers and providing continuity of service.

Do you have strong organisational, administrative and problem-solving skills?  Are you a team player with good attention to detail? We are looking for someone with previous experience and skills in administration, demonstrating flexibility, a positive can-do attitude, empathy and emotional resilience.

You’ll help us maximise our effectiveness by providing an excellent experience for our volunteers, including training and supervision of admin volunteers, and dealing with queries from people affected by cancer and the wider Grants team. Solid IT skills are essential to the role, including Word & Excel, along with the ability to manage your own workload and an understanding of what constitutes excellent customer service.

In return, we’ll commit to actively developing you and our benefits include a 34.5 hour week (with early finish on Fridays), private medical insurance, life assurance, pension, childcare vouchers, generous leave, and interest free loans for season ticket and gym membership.
