In this critical communications role, you will lead an integrated, geographically based communications team to help raise awareness of Macmillan and issues that matter to people living with cancer.

A strategic thinker and compelling storyteller, you will ensure Macmillan has a strong external profile across our nine UK geographies so people understand how to get support from us and give support to us at a UK, National and geographic level.

You'll apply intelligence and insight to effectively support our local and national influencing agenda and work with the wider external communications teams to help build the profile of Macmillan amongst key stakeholders and protect our reputation.

Most importantly you will be experienced in leading an innovative and creative external communications function which has delivered clear value to the organisation and an inspirational leader with the relationship building skills needed to influence people at all levels of the organisation.
