Head of Fast Stream and Early Talent Recruitment

 

The Fast Stream and Early Talent (FSET) team is part of the Civil Service HR Operations function which sits in Cabinet Office. As a team, we all share an ambition to deliver great services to our customers and to play a key part in building a Brilliant Civil Service. We want to ensure the changes we make deliver for our customers and enable us to each achieve our best. The Fast Stream and Early Talent team is focused on attracting, recruiting and developing diverse talent to support the Civil Service today and, critically, in the future. The team as a whole has a wide range of responsibilities which include (but are not limited to):

 

  • Marketing and Attraction for the Fast Stream and Fast Track Apprenticeship Schemes.
  • Schools, Colleges and Universities Outreach activity.
  • Recruitment and Selection of Fast Streamers and Fast Track Apprentices.
  • Strategy and Policy for the Fast Stream and Fast Track Apprenticeship Schemes.
  • Talent Management of all centrally managed Fast Streamers.
  • Career development and learning support for Fast Track Apprentices.

 

Head of Talent Management

 

As Head of Talent Management, your role is to ensure that the content and delivery of the Fast Stream Programme is effective, fit for purpose and effectively supports Fast Streamers in realising their potential.

 

  • The role has responsibility for the leadership of a team of up to 120 operational talent coaches and team leaders ensuring the effective performance management, development and rotation of large cohorts of Fast Streamers.
  • The teams focus is on Talent, Leadership Development, Diversity and Inclusion. Additionally, Culture and Change will be an area of focus given the way the organisation is changing and evolving.
  •  The structure currently has over 2000 Fast Streamers reporting to the talent management team.
