This senior management position is based within DWP’s Estates Function as part of the Finance Group. As a member of the Estates Senior Leadership Team, this role will oversee the embedding of completely new operating and commercial model.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities

?    Provide clear leadership and direction to the Service Delivery functions with oversight of all facilities services, leased property management and projects related to operational delivery for the portfolio;

?    Overarching implementation, execution of the strategy plan and management across the property portfolio to ensure space optimisation across the Estate;

?    Balance the requirement to direct, audit and monitor the Integrator supplier partner whilst empowering it to deliver its services effectively and all other service providers as required. As the key interface with the Integrator supplier, play an integral role in review, approval and decision making for the targets, savings, gain-share and performance of the Integrator;

?    Work closely with business and regional management and key stakeholders to identify and prioritise key initiatives, and delivered to a high standard; 

?    Direct projects involving employee and department moves, building maintenance, refurbishment, fit-out and those in support of disaster planning or recovery efforts in partnership with supplier partners;

?    Define and monitor service level agreements and drive performance through continuous improvement methodologies to meet/ exceed these at all times;

?    Develop, promote, and implement measures to achieve cost effective improvements in operations, increase customer satisfaction, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations;

?    Be accountable for driving a robust and effective Health and Safety agenda across all areas of the organisation and its delivery, that complies with all legislative requirements and policies to ensure a safe working environment for all staff and customers;

?    Fosters a ‘one team’ culture of Quality and Continuous Improvement across the extended organisation to include the Integrator and supplier partners, on a day to day as well as strategic basis;

?    Ensure best value objectives are met through procurement, budgeting and cost improvement projects identifying new ways of ‘smart’ working

?    Represent DWP Estates with key stakeholders such as the Government Property Unit;
?    Develop a robust approach to the management of the leased property portfolio, including the review and approval of Lifecycle recommendations and dilaps, leading the review and approval on ROI analysis.
