Job Description

As Health Data Analyst, you’ll manipulate, summarise and analyse health and social care data using a variety of mathematical and statistical methods.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to develop appropriate research briefs, report findings in a variety of formats to different audiences, both inside Macmillan and externally, in ways that make complex data easy to understand.

Your insights will inform strategy and aim to influence health policy. You will also be expected to contribute ideas to enhance the techniques or methodologies in projects across Macmillan.

It’s essential that your track record demonstrates a sound understanding of a range of quantitative methods of research and analysis, supported by a sound knowledge of Excel, and statistical and geographical packages (such as ESRI ArcGIS, R and PowerBI).

You must have extensive experience of managing and delivering high quality robust analytical reports and be willing to learn and apply new methods.

Your communication skills are excellent – particularly around engaging stakeholders, simplifying the complex for non-specialist audiences and the ability to identify key messages appropriate to every audience and situation.

Ideally you will also have experience in a role where the emphasis was on analysing and interpreting health or social-related data.

And in return for all you do for us? We commit to actively developing you and offer excellent benefits including private medical insurance, life assurance, pension, generous leave, and interest free loans for season ticket and gym membership.
