Healthcare Assistant – Men's Mental Health: Medium Secure IPU
Location: Northampton
Salary: From £16,486 per annum plus Special Duty Pay
Hours: 37.5 per week
 
Our specialist Men’s Medium Secure IPU is made up of 5 wards; Prichard, Cranford, Robinson, Fairbairn and Rose.  All situated in William Wake House, each ward has their area of specialism and provides exceptional care for male patients with needs including; deaf/communication difficulties, brain injury and personality disorders. The medium secure IPU is a rewarding place to work – with new projects happening that bring ideas to life as well as a range of learning & development opportunities for staff to grow personally and professionally. 
 
We are particularly keen to recruit new staff to our Prichard ward as part of a Turnaround project.  Prichard cares for young male patients aged 18-30years and  you will be part of a newly expanded team that are working together to introduce new ways of working to transform care. Prichard team will enjoy an exceptional programme of supervision, training and support.

Your role with us
 
Healthcare assistants work in all areas of our Clinical Services, supporting staff teams in delivering and focusing on our Patients and their rehabilitation, daily activities and care. The role can be quite active and we would therefore require you to be able to cope with the demands of an active post.
 
Your profile
 
Applications are welcomed from well-motivated individuals who are flexible, able to demonstrate high standards of care and who possess excellent written and verbal communication skills alongside good IT literacy. You will need to have resilience to work in a secure healthcare setting and this will help you meet the challenges and expectations of working as a Healthcare Assistant.
